Marcello (Japanese: マルチェロ Marcello) is a character of the day that appears in Moving Pictures. He is voiced by 阪脩 Osamu Saka in Japanese.
He lives with his wife, Sophia, at the Sunflora Lodge, which they both run. Sophia and Marcello have been married for fifty years, and they take an anniversary picture 50 years ago with hundreds of Sunflora. On the 50th anniversary, they went to the Sunflora Lodge like they did 50 years ago. They thought that the Sunflora were cheering for their marriage. They could no longer find them. What they found was only a Sunkern. They misses the Sunflora very much because they're a part of their sweet memory. Seeing this, Ash suggested to evolve the Sunkern with the Sun stone he won as prizes in the Bug-Catching Contest. After doing so, the newly evolved Sunflora sang a song and attracted all the Sunflora from 50 years ago back. The couple were very pleased and express their thank to Ash.
