* The red coloration of the titular shiny Genesect and it being faster than the other Genesect seen in the trailer could be a reference to Char Aznable from the cult series {{wp|Mobile Suit Gundam}}. In that series, Char pilots a special custom "Zaku" Mobile Suit that, despite the only physical difference being its red colour, as a higher performance than a regular Zaku (with it most notably being 3x faster than the average Zaku). This supported by the title of the movie, as ExtremeSpeed is not a move that Genesect can normally learn.

(Japanese: 神速のゲノセク Extreme Speed Genesect) is the third Best Wishes series movie and the sixteenth Pokémon movie overall. It will be released in Japan on July 13, 2013.

The movie is set to feature the Paleozoic Pokémon Genesect in a prominent role. It was first officially revealed in a teaser trailer at the end of M15, which showed Genesect flying around a wasteland before unfolding and firing its cannon. On December 13, 2012, a new trailer was revealed by Oha Suta showing a normally-colored Genesect flying around a city before being overtaken by a Shiny Genesect, which then lands on top of a skyscraper and begins glowing.
