Loudred (Japanese: ドゴーム Dogohmb) is a Normal-type Pokémon.
Pokédex entries
- Pokémon Ruby
- Loudred's bellowing can completely decimate a wood-frame house. It uses its voice to punish its foes. This Pokémon's round ears serve as loudspeakers.
- Pokémon Sapphire
- Loudred shouts while stamping its feet. After it finishes shouting, this Pokémon becomes incapable of hearing anything for a while. This is considered to be a weak point.
- Pokémon Emerald
- It positions the round speakers on its head to assail foes with ultrasonic waves at massive volume. It builds power by stomping the ground.
- Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen
- When it stomps its feet and bellows, it generates ultrasonic waves that can blow apart a house.
Name origin
Loudred's name is possibly a combination of loud and dread. Its Japanese name is based on 怒号 dogō, angry roar.
Loudred is based on a ghettoblaster, otherwise known as boombox, a portable music system that can play music at a relatively high volume.

In the anime
Loudred first appeared during the "Dewford Island" series arch. (AG022-AG031).
Loudred also kept showing up in Gotta Dance!! whenever the Poké-Baton was activated along with Ludicolo. Unlike Ludicolo, who seemingly dissapears into thin air everytime the Poké-Baton was de-activated, Loudred would stare blankly for a breif time before finally leaving. When the Poké-Baton finally shorted out, Loudred went completely mad.
Loudred also appeared under the ownership of Guy in AG066. When Ash challanged Guy to a Pokémon Battle, both Guy's Loudred and Ash's Treecko evolved at the same time.
Loudred also appeared in AG138. Mitch had capture it because he thought that the Big Voice Pokémon's ability to be immune to sound-based moves would help him to catch a Jigglypuff for his daughter's birthday.
