This is a list of all items that appear in the coding of Pokémon games but are not obtainable by any legitimate means in that game or set of games.

This does not include key items which remain in the code between Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen and Pokémon Emerald, Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum and Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, and the Generation IV games and the Generation V games. Instead, it includes items that are not available at all or, other than in Generation V, items that cannot be obtained in games already introduced in that generation.

In Generation I

Note: Uses an index number of 050 (0x32), as opposed to the real PP Up, which uses an index number of 079 (0x4F). It appears to be completely unusable. While the actual PP Up can be sold for $0, this item can be sold at a price of $4900.

Note: The buy price for this item is half the price of coins in the Game Corner ($20 per coin). It cannot be used in the slot machines, exchanged for prizes, or put into a Coin Case. Curiously, this item is listed in the manual of Red and Blue as a "miscellaneous item". It is the only item that fits into this category.[1]
