Training event
Training events are a type of limited-time events in Pokémon Masters. These focus on a specific type and involve single player and co-op mode battles against opponents that are weak against the featured type. Single player battles provide increased experience points to sync pairs whose type matches the featured type, while co-op battles reward the player with vouchers that can be exchanged in the shop for items.
Rock-type Training Event
This training event ran from September 10 to 24, 2019. It was focused on the sync pair, Olivia and Lycanroc. The "Olivia Spotlight Scout!" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Olivia and Lycanroc during the duration of the event.
A Rock-type training event was again available in "Training Events" that ran from January 1 to 15, 2020. This introduced the Very Hard and Super Hard difficulty single player battles, and the Super Hard difficulty co-op battles. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher M.

Grass-type Training Event
The first Grass-type training event ran from September 17 to 30, 2019. It was focused on the sync pair, Lyra and Chikorita. The "Lyra Spotlight Scout!" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Lyra and Chikorita during the duration of the event. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher C.
A second Grass-type training event ran from October 24 to November 7, 2019. It was focused on the sync pair, Brendan and Treecko. The "Brendan Spotlight Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Brendan and Treecko during the duration of the event. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher G.
A Grass-type training event was again available in "Training Events" that ran from January 1 to 15, 2020. This introduced the Very Hard and Super Hard difficulty single player battles, and the Super Hard difficulty co-op battles. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher M.

Water-type Training Event

A second Water-type training event ran from November 21 to December 5, 2019. It was focused on the sync pair, Kris and Totodile. The "Kris Spotlight Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Kris and Totodile during the duration of the event. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher J.
A Water-type training event was again available in "Training Events" that ran from January 1 to 15, 2020. This introduced the Very Hard and Super Hard difficulty single player battles, and the Super Hard difficulty co-op battles. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher M.

An Ice-type training event was again available in "Training Events" that ran from January 1 to 15, 2020. This introduced the Very Hard and Super Hard difficulty single player battles, and the Super Hard difficulty co-op battles. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Voucher M.
A third Ice-type training event ran from January 22 to February 6, 2020. During this event, the player can increase sync move level for Pryce and Seel/Dewgong. All battles rewarded the player with Voucher O.
