This is a reverse-chronological list of other event distributions that were given away to all region Pokémon games in Generation VIII.

List of event distributions

The Isle of Armor Promotion Packs

These item packs were distibuted weekly are to be distributed in the weeks before the release of the first part of the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass; The Isle of Armor. Each item distribution is also complemented with a separate Galarian Pokémon distribution. Each distribution lasts exactly a week, with the event changing Thursday at 5:00 PM PDT.

• A Galarian Mr. Mime with its Hidden Ability, Ice Body, was distributed from May 21 to 28, 2020. Players could also receive a pack of rare Poké Balls, including a Lure Ball, a Moon Ball, a Heavy Ball, and a Dream Ball.
• A Galarian Ponyta with its Hidden Ability, Anticipation, is being distributed from May 28 to June 4, 2020. Players can also receive another pack of rare Poké Balls, including a Level Ball, a Fast Ball, a Love Ball, a Friend Ball, and a Beast Ball.
• A Galarian Corsola with its Hidden Ability, Cursed Body, will be distributed from June 4 to 11, 2020. Players can also recieve an "Evolution Item Set" that contains a Sweet Apple, a Tart Apple, a Chipped Pot, a Cracked Pot, a Sachet, and a Whipped Dream.
• A Galarian Meowth with its Hidden Ability, Unnerve, will be distributed from June 11 to 18, 2020. Players can also recieve 50 Big Nuggets and 100 Exp. Candies L.

Wild Area News TR94 (High Horsepower)

To coincide with an update to Wild Area News featuring Gigantamax Toxtricity, a code for 3 TR94 (High Horsepower) was released on February 7, 2020 via Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Channel in its internal News system. Players could use the code PUNKR0CK from its release, February 7, 2020, to March 30, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

2020 International Challenge February Bottle Cap

To coincide with the start of the Febrary 2020 International Challenge Online Competition in Pokémon Sword and Shield, a code for 1 Bottle Cap was released on February 6, 2020 via Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Channel in its internal News system. Players could use the code C0MPET1T10N from its release, February 6, 2020, to March 30, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

To coincide with the start of Season 3 of Pokémon Sword and Shield's Ranked Battles, a code for 20 BP was released on February 1, 2020 via Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Channel in its internal News system. Players could use the code SUPEREFF1CACE from its release, February 1, 2020, to March 30, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

Wild Area News Heal Balls

To coincide with an update to Wild Area News featuring Milcery, a code for 10 Heal Balls was released on January 31, 2020 via Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Channel in its internal News system. Players could use the code G1GAGRANF1NALE from its release, January 31, 2020, to March 30, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

Expansion Pass Pikachu and Eevee Uniforms

Players who purchase the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass starting from January 9, 2020 will be emailed two separate codes to redeem a Pikachu Uniform and an Eevee Uniform. The codes do not have a known expiration date.

Pokémon Direct Premier Balls

To coincide with an update to Wild Area News featuring Gigantamax Lapras and Gigantamax Coalossal, a code for 10 Premier Balls was released on January 9, 2020 via Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Channel in its internal News system. Players could use the code AREAS1LVESTRE from its release, January 9, 2020, to February 27, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

To coincide with the Galar Newcomers competition, a code for 1 Bottle Cap was released on January 9, 2020 via Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Channel in its internal News system. Players could use the code GALAR from its release, January 9, 2020 to February 27, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

To coincide with a New Year's update to the Wild Area News featuring Magikarp, a universal, region-free serial code for ten Dive Balls was distibuted. Players could use the code 0T0SH1DAMA, from its release, December 31, 2019, to Janauary 30, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

To coincide with the start of Season 2 of Pokémon Sword and Shield's Ranked Battles, a code for 20 BP was released on December 24, 2019 via Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Channel in its internal News system. Players could use the code G1GANTAMAX from its release, December 24, 2019, to January 30, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

A second code for an additional 20 BP was released on January 3, 2020 via Nintendo Switch's Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Channel in its internal News system. Players could use the code KAMPFTEAM from its release, January 3, 2020, to February 27, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

Holiday Luxury Balls

To coincide with a Holiday update to the Wild Area News featuring Delibird, a universal, region-free serial code for ten Luxury Balls was distributed. Players could use the code PRESENT from its release, December 20, 2019, to January 30, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

@poke_times Rare Balls

As part of a campaign by the @poke_times twitter run by The Pokémon Company, the handle was taken over by the Ball Guy. During this time, the twitter posted this retweet campagin, promising rare Poké Balls if players retweeted it enough times. Eventually, all goals were met, and a set of nine total Poké Balls, including the Apricorn Balls, Dream Ball, and Beast Ball, were distributed via universal, region-free serial code. All codes expire January 15th, 2020.

Players who bought the New Anime Pocket Monsters Total Understanding Book would also receive this serial code for 100 Poké Balls.

Amazon.com Studded Leather Case

Players who bought Pokémon Sword or Shield Double Pack on the US Amazon site, or any form of the game on the Japanese Amazon site would receive a serial code via email for an exclusive gold-colored Studded Leather Case. The promotion ends January 15, 2020, and the codes expire March 30, 2020.

Pokémon Sword and Shield Double Pack Dynamax Crystals

These Dynamax Crystals, ★And15 and ★And458, were distributed via serial code to those who purchased the Pokémon Sword and Shield Double Pack, both standard and steelbook, which contained both games. The ★And15, for use in Pokémon Sword, grants one-day access to a Max Raid Battle with a Larvitar, while the ★And458, for Shield players, activated the chance to battle a Jangmo-o. Both Pokémon are base forms of Pseudo-legendary Pokémon that cannot otherwise be found in the wild in their respective versions. The codes do not have a known expiration date.

Pokémon Sword and Shield Downloadable Version Quick Balls

A serial code for these twelve Quick Ball were distributed via email to players who bought Pokémon Sword or Shield digitally via the Nintendo Switch eShop between November 15, 2019 to January 15, 2020. The codes are valid until November 30, 2020.

This Casual Tee with a print based on Pokémon Quest was distributed exclusively to members of the Pokémon Secret Club. The code is usable from November 15, 2019 to February 03, 2020.

Tracksuit Clothing Gift

This Tracksuit clothing set through various methods in various countries.

• In Japan, it was distributed to players who bought Pokémon Sword or Shield from 7 Net Shopping.
• In the United Kingdom, it was distributed to players who bought Sword or Shield from ShopTo or GAME.
• In Spain, it was distributed to players who bought Sword or Shield from GAME.
• In Italy, it was distributed to players who bought Sword or Shield from Gamestop.
• In Australia, it was distributed to players who pre-ordered Sword or Shield from EB Games.
• In the United States, it was distributed in Wal-Marts through Pokémon Pass and QR codes from November 16 to 25, 2019. Up to three codes can be generated per Pokémon Trainer Club account, and the code is usable until February 24, 2020.
