List of glitch types (Generation I)
The glitch Pokémon in the Pokémon games often have glitch types attributed to them by the in-game data. These types do not occur in natural gameplay. Some glitch types are exclusive to one specific glitch Pokémon.
99||9-type
The 99||9-type is found on two glitch Pokémon. Both Pokémon are exclusively found in Generation I.

Bird-type
The Bird-type is found on two glitch Pokémon that are only in Generation I games. In Generation II, this type is found as a text bank next to other types in Generation II games.

Trivia
- The Bird-type is mentioned in Song of Origin, the Japanese ending for Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, along with some of the other elemental types. Whether this was an error or not is unknown.
- In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the caretaker of Vermilion Gym mistakenly refers to the Template:Type2 as the Bird-type. The exact quote is "Bird/Template:Type2 Pokémon match poorly against the Template:Type2."
- In the Pokémon anime, especially the 4Kids dub, the Template:Type2 is often mistakenly referred to as the Bird-type.
- Bird-like Pokémon have been referred to as "Bird Pokémon" at least once in almost every Pokémon franchise.
- The Bird-type is similar to the ???-type in the fact that it has no weaknesses or resistances.
- Both Bird-type Pokémon have similar movesets. Among other moves, they both learn Sky Attack by leveling up.
Pokémaniac-type
The Pokémaniac-type is found on three glitch Pokémon, but only one of these (.4) can be found without without using a cheating device. Notably, all three glitch Pokémon have the Pokédex number 234.
