Revision as of 15:24, 8 July 2020
This is a reverse-chronological list of game-based Pokémon distributions that were given away using a game-based method to all region Pokémon games in Generation VIII. While HOME can be used to send Pokémon to and from Generation VII's Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, no Pokémon compatible with those games have been distributed.

Magearna
This Original Color Magearna, made available to the public for the first time, is given to the player as a reward for successfully completing a National Pokédex, including all Mythical Pokémon, but not including alternate forms. Prior to a patch released on March 12, 2020, a complete Living Pokédex was required.
Magearna is presently the only Pokémon distributed by Pokémon HOME itself that could not be sent to Pokémon Sword and Shield at the time of its launch. As of Version 1.2.0, players can now transfer Magearna to the games.

HOME Pikachu
This Pikachu is found in the Basic Box when the player starts either the Nintendo Switch or mobile version of Pokémon HOME for the first time. Unlike other HOME-based Pokémon, this Pikachu is always Japanese in origin if the player's first login was on the Switch. On mobile however, it follows the language of the player's preference. Either way, it has a preset original Trainer and ID number.
