Shiny Pokémon have appeared occasionally in the anime since they were introduced in the second generation of video games. In this canon, they are just as rare as they are in the games. There has also been different colored Pokémon, for example, a Pink Butterfree. What follows is a chronological list of shiny and alternately Pokémon that have appeared in the anime.
