The following is a list of Ribbons that appear in the Pokémon games. There are 115 Ribbons total, with 32 originating from Generation III, 48 from Generation IV, nine from Generation V, 16 from Generation VI, four from Generation VII, five from Generation VIII and three from Generation IX.

The following is a list of ribbons which appear in the Pokémon games.
In Sword and Shield and Scarlet and Violet, any one of a Pokémon's Ribbons or marks can be attached to it, granting that Pokémon a corresponding title that is displayed whenever it is sent into battle.

Generation III onward
League Ribbons
League Ribbons are obtained by entering the Hall of Fame in different regions, and are all retained if a Pokémon is transferred to a later generation. All Pokémon in the party will receive the Ribbon, even if some of them fainted or were never sent out in battle.

Among games in which Ribbons can be awarded, HeartGold and SoulSilver are the only games where winning the Pokémon League does not award a Ribbon.

Contest Spectacular and Super Contest Show Ribbons
The Contest Spectacular Ribbons are obtained by winning Master Rank Pokémon Contest Spectaculars in Generation VI or Super Contest Shows in Generation VIII. Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl added the Twinkling Star Ribbon as additional variation to these. Unlike previous Contest Ribbons, they are still preserved on their own and do not get collapsed into a Contest Memory Ribbon.

The Memorial Ribbons are awarded for various reasons in-game, some trivial and some requiring effort. All are retained if a Pokémon is transferred to a later generation, but most are also available in multiple generations.
<!--These Ribbons are ordered based on the generation they were introduced, followed by their in-game placement.-->

Gift Ribbons
The Gift Ribbons all originate from sources external to the core series Pokémon games. Two, the List of Ribbons in the games and the List of Ribbons in the games, come from Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD, which have connectivity with the core Generation III games. Otherwise, the most common Gift Ribbons are distributed on event Pokémon. The List of Ribbons in the games and List of Ribbons in the games were given out to winners of Pokémon League tournaments that were held during Pokémon Festa in 2004, 2005 and 2007*. The List of Ribbons in the games, List of Ribbons in the games and List of Ribbons in the games Champion Ribbons appear to have been intended to be given out in a similar way at corresponding VGC tournaments, however this did not occur. These Ribbons are retained if a Pokémon with them is transferred to a later generation.

Concept art of the Alola Champion Ribbon and the Battle Tree Ribbons, introduced in Generation VII

In Pokémon Sword and Shield and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, any one of a Pokémon's Ribbons or marks can be attached to it, granting that Pokémon a corresponding title that is displayed whenever it is sent into battle.

V A Ribbon awarded for completing the Battle Tower Link Multi challenge.
Locations
IV Battle Tower
  Title None
Other Info If the player's current Multi Battle streak with another linked game as a teammate at the Battle Tower is exactly 49 wins, this Ribbon is obtained by starting another set in the streak and winning at least one more battle to extend the streak to 50 wins, even if the players then lose before the seventh battle of the set.
If the current streak is 56 wins or more, merely starting another set is enough to obtain this Ribbon, even if the players then lose the first battle to break the streak. Not available in the other facilities of the Battle Frontier.

Other Info Obtained by winning a set of seven battles in a Wi-Fi Room at Battle Tower while the player's current rank was at least Rank 4 but no more than Rank 9, thereby earning a n increase in rank at the end of the set. This Ribbon is no longer officially available after DS WFC servers shut down in 2014.

Battle Maison, Royal, Tree, and Galar Tower Ribbons

These Ribbons are obtained from the appropriate postgame battle facilities of their respective regions. Unlike previous Tower Ribbons, they are still preserved on their own and do not get collapsed into a Battle Memory Ribbon.

INTRODUCED IN
GEN IX
Description
IX A rare Ribbon found extremely infrequently on Pokémon obtained in a Surprise Trade.
Locations
  Title _____ the One-in-a-Million
Other Info According to the official guidebook, the chance for a Pokémon to be granted this Ribbon while being traded through Surprise Trade is intended to be 1/100[1]; however, similarly to the Itemfinder Mark (prior to v2.0.1), no logic to grant the Ribbon appears to exist in the game's code, and there been no verifiable reports of it being legitimately obtained.
Additionally, due to the prevalence of cheating (unless the logic can be properly found within the game's programming), it is incredibly difficult to prove this Ribbon as legitimately obtainable, as trading partners are random in Surprise Trade, and the sender may have used third party tools to apply the Ribbon before being traded, rather than it being legitimately applied during the trade.

INTRODUCED IN
GEN IX
Description
IX A special Ribbon awarded to a Pokémon that was once partnered with another great Trainer.
Locations
IX League Club Room
Event Pokémon
  Title <Trainer>'s _____
Other Info All of the Pokémon received from in-game trades with special coaches in the League Club Room have this Ribbon. Certain event distribution Pokémon meant to belong to a specific Trainer, such as Liko's Sprigatito, also have this ribbon in addition to their Gift Ribbon. This Ribbon cannot be earned otherwise.

Gift Ribbons

The Gift Ribbons all originate from sources external to the core series Pokémon games. Two, the National Ribbon and the Earth Ribbon, come from Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD, which have connectivity with the core Generation III games. Otherwise, the most common Gift Ribbons are distributed on event Pokémon. The Country and World Ribbons were given out to winners of Pokémon League tournaments that were held during Pokémon Festa in 2004, 2005 and 2007*. The Regional, National and World Champion Ribbons appear to have been intended to be given out in a similar way at corresponding VGC tournaments, however this did not occur. These Ribbons are retained if a Pokémon with them is transferred to a later generation.
