The Pokémon Global Link occasionally has promotions (Japanese: キャンペーン campaigns) available for players to partake in. Somewhat similar to event Pokémon, promotions allow players to obtain various things over a certain period of time. Promotions are usually done in collaboration with other parts of the Pokémon franchise, such as merchandise like books, the TCG, and the anime.
