The following is a list of all of the Japanese language home video releases of the Pokémon movies and their accompanying Pikachu shorts in Japan.

Single movie releases

Mewtwo Strikes Back

The original theatrical version of Mewtwo Strikes Back was released on VHS on February 12, 1998. Pikachu's Summer Vacation had a separate VHS release two months prior, on December 5, 1998, which also contained the anime episode Rougela's Christmas.

Both the movie and short were released together on LaserDisc on July 17, 1999.

The remastered version of the film, titled Mewtwo Strikes Back - Kanzenban, recieved a solo VHS release on November 12, 1999.

The Kanzenban version of the film was finally released alongside Pikachu's Summer Vacation on DVD on June 23, 2000. It was later rereleased on August 24, 2011, in celebration of the Pokémon movies' 15th anniversary.

To date, the movies original theatrical version has not recieved a DVD or Blu-Ray release of any kind.

Revelation-Lugia

Revelation-Lugia was released on VHS on February 2, 2000. Pikachu's Exploration Party had a separate VHS release two months prior, on December 1, 1998, which also contained the anime episode Pikachu VS Nyarth.

Both the movie and short were released together on DVD on November 22, 2000. This release also included the short Yodaking's Day. It was later rereleased on August 24, 2011, in celebration of the Pokémon movies' 15th anniversary.

Pikachu the Movie Box 2007-2010

Pikachu the Movie Premium Box 1998-2010

This set was released exclusively on Blu-ray on November 28, 2012. This fourteen disc set contains high-definition remasters of the first thirteen Pokémon movies, as well as the first, second, fourth, and fifth Pikachu shorts: the third short, Pichu & Pikachu was not included due to the arrest of Sakai Noriko in 2009.

ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens - Mewtwo Special Pack

Released alongside the singular DVD and Blu-ray versions of ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens, this three-disc DVD set features the aformentioned movie, alongside Mewtwo - Prologue to its Awakening, Mewtwo Strikes Back and Pikachu's Summer Vacation, Mewtwo! I Am Here!, and the anime episode Tokiwa Gym! The Last Badge!.
