Pokémon world locations

Layout

The seafloor stage starts in the sea of the Maricopia Islands. There are many coral with Corsola, Luvdisc, and Finneon. After the coral area, the player enters an area with many seaweed, Lumineon and Cradily. The area then leads down to an underwater cave with Qwilfish and fighting Clawitzer. After leaving the cave, the NEO-ONE then begins to rise up to the surface of the sea. During the trip, there are many Tentacruel. After that, the stage ends near the surface of the water.

A major alternate route can be found in this course. When the Lental Seafloor is at research level 2, the player must throw Illumina orbs on a Clawitzer to cause it to destroy a rock in the seaweed area. The alternate route then leads to another underwater cave with Chinchou. After this, the NEO-ONE begins to sink downwards near various swimming Pokémon such as Finneon and Frillish to the seafloor of the stage. The first part features sand and Clamperl while the second part features Golisopod and many ancient ruins. The stage then ends near some ancient ruins. This alternate route is automatically unlocked at Level 3.

The alternate route must be completed to unlock the course's Illumina Spot.

Alternate routes

  • When exiting the cave in the alternate route, the player must throw an Illumina orb at a Lanturn. After a swimming Wailord passes by the NEO-ONE, the Lanturn will be captured by two Frillish, and the player must free it by throwing another Illumina orb at it. The Lanturn will then swim into Lugia's den.

Illumina Spot

The Illumina Spot begins in an underwater area with many rocks. Many Wishiwashi appear in the course, and the player must illuminate them with Illumina orbs to cause them to transform into their School Form. In the first area, they are joined with Finneon, and in the second area, they are joined with Luvdisc. In the last area, they appear on their own, and if they are illuminated, they will eat the NEO-ONE to give it a ride. The course ends on a small rock.

109
Alomomola
3 Alomomola can be found throughout the route, including at the start of the route, just before the caves on the main route, and in the deeper waters of the alternate route.
★★★★ Research level 3: At the start of the course, an Alomomola on the left of the path and a nearby Finneon can be illuminated with Illumina orbs. This will cause the Alomomola interact with the Finneon and blow a ring of bubbles at it.
110
Wailmer
1-3 Wailmer can be found on the main route as the NEO-ONE enters into the deeper waters. On the alternate route, they can be found after the first cave. From research level 3, they also appear at the end of the alternate route.
111
Cradily
2-3 Cradily appear amongst the seaweed on the main route and at the end of the alternate route.

112
Lumineon
1-3 Lumineon appears in the seaweed section of the main route, with one sleeping next to a cyrstabloom. Lumineon also can be found throughout the deeper waters of the alternate route.
★★★★ Research level 3: A Lumineon and two Finneon will be threatened by a Sharpedo when the NEO-ONE is heading down to the deeper waters after exiting the first cave in the alternate route. If the nearby crystabloom is activated, Lumineon will ward away the Sharpedo by spinning its body and spraying around dark sand.
113
Qwilfish
1-3 Qwilfish can be seen in the cave of the main route. From research level 3, they also appear at the end of the alternate route.
114
Clawitzer
2-3 A Clawitzer appears at the beginning of the route from research level 2. If an Illumina orb is thrown at it, it will crush some boulders blocking the entrance to the alternate route. On research level 3, the boulders will automatically have been destroyed. Clawitzer also appears in the cave on the main route. They may also be found at the end of the alternate route from research level 3.
★★★★ Research level 2: A Clawitzer in the cave of the main route will encounter a second Clawitzer further down and duel with jets of water. If the first Clawitzer is illuminated with an orb, it will win the battle. A photo of the fourth spray of water will yield a ★★★★ photo.
Research level 3: Alternatively, at higher research levels, the same Clawitzer in the cave of the main route will encounter four puffed up Qwilfish instead. Each time the Clawitzer is illuminated with an orb, it will hit the Qwilfish with a stream of water. Once it has done this four times, it will celebrate.

117
Lanturn
2-3 Lanturn can be found in the deepest waters of the alternate route. More will appear towards the end of the route, including in Lugia's den, from research level 3.
★★★★ Research level 3: An Illumina orb can be thrown at a Lanturn that approaches the NEO-ONE after emerging from the cave on the alternate route. After the Wailord passes by, the Lanturn will be captured by two Frillish. Throwing another Illumina orb allows the Lanturn to break free and glow.
118
Starmie
3 A Starmie appears in the cave of the alternate route, and will continue ahead faster than the NEO-ONE. A Starmie can also be found buried under the sand along the seafloor alongside Clamperl. As with the Clamperl, bringing Lanturn close to the Starmie with a trail of fluffruit will cause Starmie to jump out of the sand.
★★★★ Research level 3: Once the Starmie has been brought out from under the sand, it will reappear if the crystabloom at the end of the alternate route by the ancient ruins is activated. The crystabloom will need to be activated again for the Starmie to give off a special glow.
119
Frillish
1-3 Frillish appear throughout the deeper waters of both routes. Some may hold onto smaller Pokémon as prey, or be dancing with other Frillish.
★★★★ Research level 3: Two Alomomola will be swimming beneath the Wailmer on the main route. Hitting the Alomomola in front with a fluffruit will cause it to change course and stop at a cave entrance. A Frillish will emerge from the cave and grab Alomomola (Alomomola must be hit once more with a fluffruit to give Frillish time to take a hold of Alomomola).
120
Golisopod
2-3 Golisopod can be found at the end of the alternate route. All Golisopod will be stationary on research level 2, and some may be walking around on research level 3.
★★★★ Research level 3: At the end of the alternate route, Clawitzer may appear from the left hand side. One will approach a standing Golisopod, and throwing an Illumina orb at the Clawitzer will cause it to spray a jet of water at the Golisopod. The Golisopod will wake up and walk across to a second Golisopod and battle it.
121
Lugia
3 The branching path towards the alternate route opens up once the Lanturn has been freed from the Frillish. Lugia will appear in this path in the post-game.
★★★★ Research level 3: Lugia can be awoken by illuminating the crystabloom in front and behind Lugia. It will then swim ahead. If it is hit with fluffruit when it is swimming, it will spin in the water and pause for a moment before letting out a roar.

Favorite Hangout Spot Luvdisc’s favorite place to hang out is between Corsola’s branches. Why don’t you see if you can find them together? Level 3 Two Luvdisc sleeping on a Corsola can be found just before the first branch point, seen behind the NEO-ONE. You found them! This photo really captures the sense of security they feel when they’re together. None
Swimming Clamperl Did you know Clamperl can swim? It’s not a very common sight in Lental, but who knows—maybe you’ll get lucky! Level 2+ Clamperl can be found under the sand of the seafloor along the alternate route. They will only emerge when a nearby Lumineon begins to nibble at a fluffruit brought close to the Clamperl, disrupting the Clamperl from its spot. Once Clamperl is brought out from under the sand, it will begin to swim ahead. Oh! Great job spotting that! I guess they only swim when it’s absolutely necessary. Do you think it managed to get away? Lucky Four-Leaf Clover Hey, do you wanna take a really great photo of Luvdisc? Here’s a hint: keep your eyes peeled for the perfect moment! Level 2+ The last crystabloom on the final stretch of the main route can be lit up with an Illumina orb. Four Luvdisc will approach the crystabloom, and playing a melody will cause them to flatten and form the shape of a four-leafed clover. Wow! This is a perfect shot! You should totally show this off to your friends! Heart 2

A Ring of Bubbles Have you ever seen an aquatic Pokémon make a ring of foamy bubbles and play with it? Level 3 At the start of the course, an Alomomola on the left of the path and a nearby FInneon can be illuminated with Illumina orbs. This will cause the Alomomola interact with the Finneon and blow a ring of bubbles at it. Great photo! This is exactly what I was talking about! It looks like it’s having a blast! None
A New Way to Dance Isn’t this a cute picture? I hear Cradily sometimes does a dance with its neck stretched out. I’d love to see that someday. Level 2+ Cradily can illuminated with an Illumina orb on the main route. Playing melody will cause it to sway side to side with the music. Awww, thank you! This dance is just as cute! None
Stirring Up Starmie Lumineon has very nimble fins on its chest. Try observing it to see what it can do with them! Level 3 A Starmie can be found buried under the sand along the seafloor alongside Clamperl on the alternate route towards the end of the course. Bringing Lumineon close to the Starmie with a trail of fluffruit will cause Lumineon to spin around that will cause Starmie to jump out of the sand. Oh! Nice shot! As you saw out there, Lumineon use their chest fins to stir up sand. None
See Ya Inf-later! I was trying to get a photo of Qwilfish all puffed up, but then it suddenly zoomed away! It totally messed up my shot! Level 1+ Qwilfish will inflate when a melody is played. Throwing a fluffruit at it will cause it to deflate and zoom around the water. Whoa, seriously?! I can’t believe you got that shot! Must’ve been tough for you to catch Qwilfish before it sped away! Phil (Surprised)

Ready, Aim, Fire! Aren’t Clawitzer the coolest when they’re havin’ a shootout?! They fire these awesome water cannonballs, but they’re really hard to get on camera. Level 2 (only) A Clawitzer in the cave of the main route will encounter a second Clawitzer further down and duel with jets of water. You’re kidding me! You actually got that shot?! How’d you do it? C’mon, tell me! Phil's Shoe

Undersea Ballroom Dancing Didja know Tentacruel actually dance? And with Frillish, even! Aw man, it was so cool! I wish I could’ve shown you! Level 2 (only) Three Tentacruel can be seen when emerging out of the first cave on the alternate route. Throwing an Illumina orb at the male Tentacruel (the Tentacruel right below the entrance) will cause it to reappear with a female Frillish at the end of the course. Throwing a crystabloom close to the Tentacruel and Frillish, then playing a melody causes the Tentacruel to dance. Oh, you got to see it, too! I’ll let you know if I find any more cool things like that! None
A Sunlit Cave This area just feels...different somehow. I just can’t shake this feeling that something is going to happen! Level 2 (only) An Illumina orb can be thrown at a Chinchou swimming forward at the bottom of the alternate path. It will wander off to a small cave on the path's left, and the other Chinchou in their rocky nooks will join it. The group of Chinchou will gather around a lit up crystabloom. Just as I thought—something did happen! It seems Chinchou like to come here to bask in the sun. None
A Light in the Depths Right after I took this photo, I saw Lanturn get caught by Frillish! I can’t stop wondering what happened to it! Level 3 An Illumina orb can be thrown at a Lanturn that approaches the NEO-ONE after emerging from the cave on the alternate route. After the Wailord passes by, the Lanturn will be captured by two Frillish. Throwing another Illumina orb allows the Lanturn to break free. When Lanturn reaches the bottom of the sea floor, it will become happy. Who knew it could fight back like that! Lanturn rules! None
A Seven-Colored Glow During our undersea research, I noticed something glowing in all seven colors of the rainbow. Do you have any idea what that could be? Level 3 A Starmie can also be found on the alternate route buried under the sand along the seafloor alongside Clamperl. Bringing Lumineon close to the Starmie with a trail of fluffruit will cause Starmie to jump out of the sand. Starmie will then reappear if the crystabloom at the end of the alternate route by the ancient ruins is activated. The crystabloom will need to be activated again for the Starmie to give off a special glow. Oh, so what I noticed was Starmie’s glowing core! Thanks for figuring that out for me! None
To the Bottom of the Sea I just saw something amazing! So there was an Alomomola and a Frillish...but I’m not gonna tell you what happened next! Level 3 Two Alomomola will be swimming beneath the Wailmer on the main route. Hitting the Alomomola in front with a fluffruit will cause it to change course and stop at a cave entrance. A Frillish will emerge from the cave and grab Alomomola (Alomomola must be hit once more with a fluffruit to give Frillish time to take a hold of Alomomola). Oh, you saw them, too... Wait, you actually saw Frillish grab Alomomola?! How’d I miss that? None
Golisopod Training Those Golisopod living on the seafloor... What’s the nature of their relationship, I wonder. Level 3 At the end of the alternate route, Clawitzer may appear from the left hand side. One will approach a standing Golisopod, and throwing an Illumina orb at the Clawitzer will cause it to spray a jet of water at the Golisopod. The Golisopod will wake up and walk across to a second Golisopod and battle it. Ah, I see! So basically, they’re sparring partners. Thanks for looking into that for me! None
Seafloor Roar This photo of Phil’s definitely makes a strong impression, but I think the timing could be better. Level 3 Lugia can be awoken by illuminating the crystabloom in front and behind Lugia. It will then swim ahead. If it is hit with fluffruit when it is swimming, it will spin in the water and pause for a moment before letting out a roar. Wow! Now that’s a fantastic shot! It really captures Lugia’s majesty. Todd (Surprised)
