Lei

Lei (Japanese: レイ Lei) is a character of the day who appeared in That New Old Gang of Mine!. He is the newborn son of Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet.

In Thank You, Alola! The Journey Continues!, it was revealed that Burnet was pregnant. When Ash returned to Alola in That New Old Gang of Mine!, he met Lei when he reunited with Kukui and Burnet. Although Lei met Ash for the first time, he immediately took a liking to him as a big brother.

Lei is the first human character to have been born during the course of the anime.
