Lava Plume (Japanese: ふんえん Smoke Burst) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

Generations IV and V

Lava Plume damages all adjacent Pokémon in Double and Triple Battles. It also has a 30% chance of burning each of them.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, it affects all adjacent enemies.

Generation VI

Lava Plume will destroy round rocks found in the background of battles.

Description

Games Description
An inferno of scarlet flames washes over all Pokémon in battle. It may also inflict burns.
An inferno of scarlet flames torches everything around the user. It may leave targets with a burn.
The user torches everything around it with an inferno of scarlet flames. This may also leave those hit with a burn.
PMDTDS Inflicts damage on all enemies within a 1-tile range. It may also afflict the enemies within a 1-tile range with a Burn status condition. It thaws out frozen Pokémon.
