A Lass (Japanese: ミニスカート Miniskirted) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation I games. They are depicted as average young girls in cute clothing resembling school uniforms and having a slight obsession with mini-skirts. Lasses appear to be the female counterparts of Youngsters.

They use a variety of Pokémon but tend to use the more cute and/or common Pokémon such as Pidgey, Nidoran♀, Zigzagoon etc.

Green was based on the early character designs of the Lass characters.

In the anime

A Lass makes a very brief appearance in the theme songs Aim to Be a Pokémon Master and Pokémon Theme. She wears an orange blouse and Pikachu runs under her. The character of Giselle, who appeared in The School of Hard Knocks, seems to be loosely based off the Lass design.

In the TCG

In the TCG, the Lass character has their own card in the Base Set.
