Landis

Landis (Japanese: テルヒコ Teruhiko) is a character of the day from Not on My Watch Ya Don't!. Although he is not old enough to be a real Trainer, he does own a Shinx. He is the son of the Pokétch Co. President.

Landis first appeared when Dawn had just been tricked into taking a free fake Pokétch from Team Rocket. He put it under water to show that the paint smeared, meaning it wasn't the real thing.

Landis has some similarities to Max. He is very smart and knows a lot about Pokémon, which he studies about in the Trainers' School in Jubilife City. Landis also has a similar hair color to Max. He apparently likes to make Dawn angry as even after the episode was over, he said Dawn needed good luck to win the Contest.

He reappeared in a flashback in DP048.

Landis's Shinx
Shinx
Landis's Shinx appeared in Not on MY Watch Ya Don't! where Ash, Dawn and Brock had bought fake Pokétches from Team Rocket disguised as Clowns. Shinx notices Dawn's Pokétch and barks for Landis, he snatches it off Dawn's wrist and puts it under a nearby tap, and the paints starts to come off. Landis insists for them to come to his father's Pokétch Factory. Shinx watches as Landis's father uses the Friendship Checker App on Pikachu, Piplup, and Croagunk.

That night in the Factory Landis is watching his Father examining Team Rocket's fake Pokétches as Shinx suddenly wanders off. Minutes later they meet up with Ash, Dawn and Brock to tell them that Shinx had gone missing. They follow the trail of Pokémon, until they find a huge box which all the Pokémon are getting into including Shinx. Landis tries to rescue Shinx but Dawn pulls him back from getting crushed by the door. Suddenly they find out Team Rocket are doing this as they take the box away by their balloon, Dawn's Buneary launches an Ice Beam freezing Team Rocket, snapping all of the Pokémon out of Psyduck's hypnotism and freeing Shinx. Team Rocket start to battle using Carnivine and Seviper, Piplup, and Buneary finish them off but Pikachu is worn out. Shinx decides to use Spark to recharge Pikachu, it launches a Thunderbolt sending Team Rocket blasting off.

Shinx's only known move is Spark.
