Pocket Monsters

Anakubo's most famous work is Pokémon gag manga, Pocket Monsters. The manga later became one of the most famous Pokémon series in all of Japan. It has been featured in CoroCoro ever since its beginnings. The manga features young boy named Isamu Akai. Today, the manga has become two different stories featuring the same characters' journeys, throughout the Hoenn region (Pocket Monsters RS) and the Sinnoh region (Pocket Monsters DP).

Controversy

Though Pocket Monsters was a success, it was briefly taken off the shelves due to nudity in the second chapter of volume one. This nudity appeared again in volume two.
