Klara originally started off an underground pop signer with cuteness and virulence of poison. Despite her attempts at promoting herself, she only sold about eight copies of her debut album. After that she decided to tryout being a Gym Leader in order to boost her popularity as her new goal. At some point, she obtained a Galarian Slowpoke. However, she gave up on that goal after two of hash training at the Poison-type Gym. She eventually learns about the Master Dojo thanks to a late-night tv show. After seeing how kind Mustard looked in the commercial, Klara then decided to head to the Isle of Armor to train due believing she become can stronger without trying too hard. She called quickly called the Dojo in order to apply.

She is first encountered by the player at Wedgehurst Station, obtaining the Armor Pass needed to visit the Isle of Armor. Before she can get on train, a Galarian Slowpoke appeared, blocking the way, requiring the player catching it. After complimenting on the player's capture of Galarian Slowpoke, she is able to get on train for the Isle of Armor. She eventually reached her location and becomes a student at the Master Dojo. However she focused more on being dotted by others and barely worked on her training. This results in Klara becoming lazy due to lacking a rival and motivation.

League Cards

This is a transcript of the back of Klara's League Cards in Pokémon Sword.

Normal League Card
"Klara was originally an underground pop singer. She promoted herself as a star that had both cuteness and the virulence of poison. She energetically held live concerts and other events, even selling some Klara-themed collectables that she made herself, but in spite of everything, she only managed to sell eight copies of her debut album "Krazy for Klara." She decided becoming a Gym Leader would help her gain more popularity and has been working towards that goal since. She chose the Poison type because it matched her image and there was less competition."
Rare League Card
"The training at the Poison-type Gym was a lot harsher than Klara was ready for, and she gave up after two days. It was during this time she saw an ad for the Master Dojo during a late-night TV show. The master seemed kind, and Klara thought it would help her become strong without having to try too hard, so she immediately called in to apply. Normally, Klara's sole focus is to be doted on by others, so she puts only the bare minimum into her training, but recently a new student at the dojo has caused a change of attitude. She now works secretly with her Slowbro to better herself."

  • If talked to prior to interacting with the Slowpoke
"Is this the first time you've seen a Galarian Slowpoke? The coloring of the top of its head is curry-like. Isn't it superduper cute?"
  • After catching the Slowpoke
"Wow! Amazing! The way you caught that Slowpoke was the absolute coolest."
"Okaaay."
"I'm heading to a place called the Isle of Armor. I'm gonna catch some rare Pokémon and do some training. Let's hang if we meet up again, 'K? Bye-bye, then! See ya!"
Armor Station
"Aha, there you are, right on time too! You're pretty punctual for a kid! Hmmm....Hey, have we met before or something? Oh, it doesn't really matter, I guess! I'm Klara! I've been at the dojo awhile, so they sent me to help out the newbie!"
