Release information
This card was released as both a Regular and a Full Art card card in the English Boundaries Crossed expansion, originating from the Japanese Cold Flare expansion. The Regular print features artwork by Toyste Beach, while the Full Art print features artwork by 5ban Graphics.
This card was released as a Jumbo promotional card in both English and Japanese. The English print was included in October 2012's Keldeo Box. The Japanese print was handed out at Pokémon Centers after the release of Freeze Bolt and Cold Flare to those who purchased different combinations of Keldeo-themed TCG merchandise.
This card was later reprinted as one of the BW Black Star Promos with new artwork by Toyste Beach and was included in the EX Power Tins released in March 2013. The original Regular print was later reprinted in the English Legendary Treasures expansion, first released in the Japanese EX Battle Boost. The BW Black Star Promo print was released in Japan as an unnumbered BW-P Promotional card and awarded to the top four competitors from each league in the Mystery Card Battle, one of the many events present at the Pokémon Game Show, held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, Tokyo on August 17 and 18, 2013. Keldeo-EX was only awarded on August 17, making the Japanese version rather elusive with only eight total copies, with Rayquaza-EX being awarded on August 18 instead.
