Kōichi Yamadera

Kōichi Yamadera (Japanese: 山寺宏一 Yamadera Kōichi) is a Japanese voice actor who provides the voices of main and/or supporting characters in all the Pokémon movies.

Yamadera was born on June 17, 1961 in Miyagi, Japan. In 1994, he was married to fellow voice actor かないみか Mika Kanai, who also provides voices on Pokémon; the two divorced in 2006. On June 17, 2012, he married another fellow voice actor, Rie Tanaka.

In addition to being a popular voice actor, Yamadera also hosts a children's series, Oha Suta, and he has had several live-action roles, including some in recent Godzilla movies. He also provides dub voices for various Walt Disney roles, such as Donald Duck, Genie, Beast, and Stitch.
