Junko Takeuchi (Japanese: 竹内順子 Takeuchi Junko) is a Japanese seiyū for the Pokémon anime.

Biography

Takeuchi was born on April 5, 1972, in Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. As an adult, she became a seiyū and came to be commonly cast as young, male characters with quirky and goofy personalities. She first voiced Doyle, a character of the day who appeared in the Best Wishes series of the Pokémon anime. Then, Takeuchi voiced Red, the protagonist of the Pokémon Origins miniseries. She also voiced a young Baraz in SS034. Takeuchi is married to fellow seiyū Kenji Hamada, with whom she has two children, and she is affiliated with Ogipro The Next Co. Inc.
