After defeating [[Team Rocket]] who had attempted to steal his Pokémon, he decides to revert to his original goal of becoming a Trainer, and return to [[Lilycove City]].

Jimmy started out his journey with a Squirtle which eventually evolved into a Wartortle.He encountered his two other Pokemon by accident.He encountered Ivysaur in a forest where Jimmy and his Wartortle were taking a break.The rice ball that he and Wartortle were about to eat rolled down the hill right into Ivysaur's mouth as it was yawning and ate it.Ivysaur then felt bad and decided to help them search for food and then decided to be a part of his Team.One day,he fell into a lake and his pokemon had to help him.After he was saved,he realized that he caught something under his shirt.It turned out to be a golden Magikarp.A passing fisherman was attracted to the golden color and offered Jimmy to trade the Magikarp for his Charmeleon. Jimmy accepted it and obtained Charmeleon.
