A Johto resident, Pollockson is an artist renowned for his style of art, appearing in The Art of Pokémon. He owns three Smeargle, which are the ones that actually paint his art. Jack has three Smeargle, two of the Smeargle have different colored tails. It has been mentioned that a Smeargle's tail color changes depending upon its mood. They were vandalizing a town which the residents hated but Jack thought was art. Team Rocket watch and decide to steal the Smeargle, later the Smeargle get angry and paint on everything making the residents even madder. Suddenly Team Rocket steal the three Smeargle, but Ash and his friends find them and the Smeargle start to run away. The next day Ash finds that the Smeargle are trying to clear up Whitestone instead of painting all over it.
