International Police
The International Police (Japanese: 国際警察 International Police), also referred to as the Global Police in the English localizations of the Generation I games and of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, is a law enforcement agency in the Pokémon games, anime and manga. Its most notable member is Looker.
In the games
The International Police first appeared in the Generation I games. A member of the organization appears on the S.S. Anne, undercover (his overworld sprite is shared with that of a Gentleman) and in pursuit of Team Rocket. Here, the group is referred to as the Global Police in English. In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, it appears in the same vein as in Generation I.
Looker
In Pokémon Platinum, the International Police is once more featured, with the introduction of what is so far the organization's most notable member, Looker. He appears at various points in the story to help the player, while he himself is on the trail of Team Galactic. After the villain's team leader, Cyrus, disappears into the Distortion World, Looker refocuses his investigation on Charon.
Looker reappears in Pokémon Black and White to seek and capture the Seven Sages of Team Plasma.
In the anime
The first appearance of the International Police in the anime was in Frozen on Their Tracks!, when Looker debuted. However, he did not reveal that he was an International Police agent until Gateway to Ruin!, where he was spying on Team Galactic disguised as a Galactic Grunt, who were trying to locate the Spear Pillar.
In Unlocking the Red Chain of Events!, Looker infiltrated the Fuego Ironworks disguised as a Galactic Grunt in order to find out what Team Galactic was doing there. Despite this, he was discovered and thrown in a cell until Ash and his friends rescued him. By this time, Team Galactic had already fled but Looker found a piece of the Red Chain. Taking it back to the Floaroma Police Station, the Floaroma Police set up a live transfer of the scanned data to International Police HQ. However, the piece had been engineered by Charon to blow up the scanner and wipe all data from the International Police database.
In In The Battle Finale of Legend!, Looker arrested all Team Galactic members.
Looker was set to make a comeback in two unaired episodes investigating Team Rocket and Team Plasma in the Unova region, before they were indefinitely postponed.
In the manga
All the appearances of the International Police in the manga are made by Looker.
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Looker appears as a character in the Diamond & Pearl and Platinum arcs where he assists Platinum in searching for information on the Distortion World. In this canon, it is explained that the International Police goes around the world to search for villains. Looker has many items he calls the "International Police arms". Many of these gadgets are cheaply made and have a tendency to fall apart at Looker's expense but will occasionally work for him when the time is needed.

The Hyper Compact One-touch Tent: A tent that collapses on itself over time.
The Grateful Umbrella: A weak umbrella that easily breaks apart in the rain.
The Loudful Speaker: A powerful speaker that sends the user flying backwards.
The Super Hard Tight Tape: Powerful tape that is used to quickly tie up an enemy.
The International Satellite Smartphone: A phone that Looker uses to receive calls from his superior.
The Unbelievable Metamorphosis Set: A mask used to hide Looker's face.
In the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure! manga
Looker also appears in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure!. Another member of the International Police is Koya, who works with Looker on the trail of Kaisei. Kaisei is currently on the run from the International Police and is being pursued by Looker and Koya. Trained in disguise, they use this skill to capture Charon.
