(Japanese: 劇場版ポケットモンスター キミにきめた！ Pocket Monsters the Movie: I Choose You!) is a one-shot manga promotion of the movie of the same name. It is adapted by 河本けもん Kemon Kawamoto. It was included with the May 2017 issue of CoroCoro and was collected into Pocket Monsters the Movie: I Choose You! Remix.
Plot
- Ash and Pikachu battle a Totem Kommo-o on Poni Island.
- Ash flashes back to the day he met Pikachu.
- After defeating a flock of Spearow, a Rainbow Wing falls from the sky as Ho-Oh flies above Ash and Pikachu.
- Ash and Pikachu defeat the Totem Kommo-o with 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt.
Differences from the movie
- The plot is presented as a flashback being had by Ash in the Alola region in the manga, whereas no such framing device exists in the movie.
- Ash heads to Professor Oak's lab fully dressed instead of still being in his pajamas.
