Trivia

In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, no in-game opponent will have Hypno use Prophecy; if their Hypno has one or two Psychic energy attached, they will instead end their turn without attacking.

Origin

Prophecy's Japanese name is that of Future Sight, a move later introduced in the Generation II Pokémon games that Hypno can learn. Dark Mind's Japanese name is that of Night Shade, a move in the Pokémon games that Hypno cannot learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
