This card was included in the English Dragons Exalted expansion, released in the Japanese Dragon Blast expansion, with artwork by 5ban Graphics. It was later reprinted with different artwork by Tomokazu Komiya in the English Legendary Treasures expansion, originating from the Japanese EX Battle Boost.

Dragonblast is the name of the Japanese expansion in which the original print of Hydreigon was released. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Black. N's Castle is featured in the Dragons Exalted print illustration. A portion of the Virbank Complex is depicted in the illustration of the Legendary Treasures print.
