(Japanese: ホウジ Houji) is a character of the day who appeared in SS007. He is a Pokémon Trainer from Lavaridge Town.
Houji ran into Ash and Go at the Hoenn Battle Frontier and quickly became rivals with them. He and Go's rivalry is particularly antagonistic, due to the Hoenn Trainer looking down on the newer one excited over catching a mere Taillow. Houji later entered the Battle Frontier Flute Cup Tournament and easily defeated Go. He advanced through the tournament, winning almost every battle until he was matched up against Ash again in the final round and lost to his Pikachu.
