Ho-Oh ex (Japanese: ホウオウ ex Houou ex) is a Fire-type Basic Pokémon-ex card. It is part of the EX Unseen Forces set.
Card text
When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
Poké-POWER
Attack
Release information
This card was reprinted in POP Series 3 with different artwork by the same artist.
Trivia
This card's Rainbow Burn attack is similar to an attack of the same name possessed by Neo Revelation's Ho-Oh. While this card's version has a lower base power, it gets a larger power boost for each different type of Energy attached to Ho-Oh; this version of the attack is actually stronger than the Neo Revelation version when Ho-Oh has three or more different types of basic Energy attached to it.
Origin
Golden Wing's name references Ho-Oh's status as the version mascot of Pokémon Gold. Rainbow Burn reflects a general association between Ho-Oh and rainbows, as noted in many of its Pokédex entries.
