Trivia
Each of the Pokémon-ex in EX Ruby & Sapphire seem to be based on popular cards from pre-EX Series sets. This card is less similar to any previously released cards than most, but it may be partially based on Base Set Hitmonchan, with Steady Punch being a less broken variation on Jab, and Sky Uppercut being an improved Special Punch, as these attacks have the same energy requirements.
Origin
Steady Punch is an attack that first appeared on Machoke from Expansion Sheet 2. Sky Uppercut is a move in the Pokémon games that Hitmonchan can learn.
This article is part of Project TCG, a Bulbapedia project that aims to report on every aspect of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. |
