Release information

This card was included in the Team Rocket expansion as both a Holofoil and Non Holofoil, first released in the Rocket Gang expansion where it was only released as a Holofoil card. It was later reprinted as a Supporter card in the EX Team Rocket Returns expansion with new artwork by Ken Sugimori, originating from the Rocket Gang Strikes Back expansion. It was reprinted as a retro card in the Evolutions expansion, first released in the Japanese Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary subset, featuring the same artwork as the original print and an updated card template reminiscent of the Original Series layout. A Full Art XY-P Promotional print with artwork by Naoki Saito was available in the Japanese Team Rocket Special Case, released in February 2017. This print also features a card template reminiscent of the Original Era card layout.

Trivia

  • This card is one of the few Trainer cards that has no reason to be played more than once during a match.
  • The Team Rocket print of this card was one of the first Holofoil Trainer cards in both English and Japanese. This was also the first Japanese card to feature a Super Rare rarity.
  • Unlike in the anime (except for the first twenty-three episodes of the Best Wishes series), Jessie's and James's clothes are colored black instead of white in the first print of this card, much like the grunts of Team Rocket.

Origin

The Team Rocket print illustration features Jessie, James, and Meowth, the trio of Team Rocket agents constantly following Ash.
