Heavy Metal (Japanese: ヘヴィメタル Heavy Metal) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. Five Pokémon have this Ability all of which are part Steel-type. This Ability is exclusively obtained through the Dream World.
Effect
In battle
The user's weight is doubled. This increases the user's base power of Heavy Slam and Heat Crash, increases the damage taken from the opponent's Low Kick and Grass Knot, and also lowers the damage taken from the opponent's Heavy Slam and Heat Crash due to these moves being calculated by the target's weight.
Outside of battle
Heavy Metal has no effect outside of battle.
