Hashiba
(Japanese: ハシバ Hashiba) is a character of the day who appeared in SS021. He is from Fuchsia City.
Hashiba met Ash and Go whilst they were searching for a Pokémon Egg. Hashiba challenged him to a Normal Class Pokémon World Championships battle which Ash accepted. Hashiba sent out his Tauros to battle Pikachu but was defeated, causing his rank to go down.

| Tauros is Hashiba's only known Pokémon. He was used to battle Ash's Pikachu. Despite causing Pikachu some damage, Tauros was eventually defeated by Pikachu's Thunderbolt.

- Similar to Visquez and Seiya, Hashiba wears an item in his hair that refers to his Pokémon: in this case, a headband with a drawing of Tauros' horns.
- Hashiba's Japanese voice actor, Yasuhiro Mamiya, was born in the Chiba prefecture. Tateyama (the real-life counterpart of Fuschia City) is also located in the Chiba prefecture.
