Half Deck (TCG)

The Half Deck is a new trend of Pokémon TCG playing that has recently started in Japan. It involves both players using a 30-card deck instead of a 60-card one and only laying out 3 prizes. It has caught on quickly, in part because there is very limited space in most Japanese TCG tournaments, and also because the games take less time and will be able to hold a person's interest longer. However no major tournaments, either in the US or overseas, are currently played in half deck format.
