Guts (Japanese: こんじょう Guts) is an Ability introduced in Generation III.
Effect
In battle
While a Pokémon with this Ability has a status condition, its Attack is increased by 50%. Additionally, a Pokémon with this Ability does not lose Attack due to burn.
Generations III and IV
The Attack boost from Guts is activated if a Pokémon is frozen and uses a move which thaws it out, such as Flame Wheel or Flare Blitz.
Generation V
The Attack boost from Guts no longer activates if a Pokémon is frozen and uses a move which thaws it out, such as Flame Wheel or Flare Blitz.
Outside of battle
