This card was included in the Base Set, first released in the Japanese Expansion Pack. It was reprinted in the Base Set 2 expansion.
Trivia
This card's effect matches that of the Black & White Series prints of Pokémon Catcher, a card later released in the Emerging Powers expansion. However, Pokémon Catcher was given errata for the XY Series of the card game, requiring a coin flip. The effect of Gust of Wind now matches that of the Supporter card Lysandre released in the Flashfire expansion.
