A Guitarist (Japanese: ギタリスト Guitarist) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in Generation II games. They appear as young, blonde men playing guitars.
They specialize in Template:Type2 Pokémon, as they play electric guitars. In Generation III, some also use members of the Whismur evolutionary line.

In the anime
May battled against Jeremy, who seems to be based on the Guitarist class in Weekend Warrior. However, he owned a Venusaur and a Butterfree, which are not Electric-type like the Guitarists use in the games.
