Green's Charizard (Japanese: グリーンのリザードン Green's Lizardon) is the Starter Pokémon of Green in the Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga.

History

Green got Charizard from Professor Oak when it was a Charmander in The Pokémon Clefairy Enters. Charmander was usually with Green every time he appeared, similar to how Clefairy and Pikachu were.

Green enters Charmander in their first Gym battle but lose horribly against Brock and his Onix.

Several chapters later, it was seen evolving (straight into the form of Charizard), but later devolved to its basic stage. However, it later evolved again, this time permanently. It has never been seen to revert to a Charmander since then. It is unknown if the second evolution was also straight to Charizard, or if Charizard had to be a Charmeleon before finally evolving to Charizard. The rules of evolution were never explained in this series.

Personality and characteristics

Charizard was shown to be fierce and devious towards Clefairy (as it sees itself as Clefairy's rival) and happily obeys his every order.
