Release information

Grass Energy was reprinted with new artwork in the Snivy Half Deck of the Japanese Beginning Set, with multiple prints each bearing a different number to organize the half-deck. This print was included in the Black & White expansion, having been previously reprinted in the Virizion Battle Strength Deck in Japan. It was reprinted as one of the BW-P Promotional cards and was awarded at the July/August Pokémon Center Open Challenge. It saw another reprint as a winner prize at the Summer Carnival in July 2011 and has the logo for the event in the bottom right corner. In Japan, unnumbered reprints bearing their respective sets' expansion symbols were included in the Beginning Set +, Zekrom-EX Battle Strength Deck, and Beginning Set Pikachu Version.

This card was reprinted as another BW-P promo, this time available in card packs given out at the September 2011 and June 2012 Gym Challenges. Again, the Gym Challenge logo is stamped in the bottom right corner. Further unnumbered but symboled Japanese reprints were included in the National Beginning Set, Everyone's Exciting Battle expansion before a final BW-P reprint with a stamp for the event was the participation prize for the Battle Carnival Spring 2013.

The Chespin Half Deck of the Japanese XY Beginning Set saw new artwork for Grass Energy, which made its way into the English XY expansion. But not before an unnumbered XY-P Promotional print with a Lawson stamp was released in the Lawson Limited Pokémon Coin Set in December 2013. In Japan, this card was reprinted as several unnumbered XY-P promos: it was available in the May-July 2014 and February-March 2015 Pokémon Card Gym packs; in the Pokémon Center Crisis Battle packs in January 2015. It was reprinted in the Latias Half Deck of the XY Trainer Kit: Latias & Latios. Unnumbered but symboled Japanese reprints were included in the M Master Deck Build Box Power Style and M Master Deck Build Box Speed Style. It was also made available as part of the Golden Present Campaign, which began in participating stores on September 9, 2015, and ran for a limited time. Customers who purchased ¥1000 worth of eligible goods could enter a lottery. Possible prizes included a set of four golden Moncollé figures (Zoroark, Chesnaught, Raichu, and Noivern); a set of golden deck case, card binder, and playmat; and a set of Grass or Darkness Energy gold print. It was also reprinted as an unnumbered XY-P Promo in the BREAK Starter Pack.

A reprint with new artwork was released as an unnumbered XY-P promo available as a participation prize for the Pokémon Card Gym from August to October 2016. This print was released in English in the Generations expansion. The Premium Champion Pack included a Mirror Reverse Holo reprint of Grass Energy with unique artwork. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Pokémon, Cosmos Holofoil Basic Energy cards bearing the original layout were given out as prizes for three straight wins at the 20th Anniversary Festa held in October 2016. This print was then included in the Evolutions expansion.

The Sun & Moon Series brought with it another Energy card design. For the first time, Basic Energy cards in English sets were completely unnumbered and included in every expansion starting with Sun & Moon. It was included in the Japanese Strength Expansion Pack Sun & Moon as a Mirror Reverse Holofoil and as a Secret card. This print was included in the Guardians Rising expansion. Grass Energy was released as unnumbered Energies in several Japanese products: Decidueye-GX Starter Set Grass, Premium Trainer Box, Tapu Bulu-GX Enhanced Starter Set, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Premium Trainer Box, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Deck Build Boxes, and the Grass Lurantis-GX Deck. The prints of Grass Energy included in the Shining Legends booster packs were Holofoil. It was released in the English Ho-Oh Legendary Battle Deck, Alolan Ninetales Half Deck of the Sun & Moon Trainer Kit: Alolan Sandslash & Alolan Ninetales, and the Mega Blastoise Deck of the Battle Arena Decks: Mega Charizard X vs Mega Blastoise.

It was reprinted as a SM-P promo numbered 128/SM-P and was given out as a Play Point prize at several events: the Champion's League 2018 Yokohama for four points; the Champion's League 2018 1st Certified Tournament for 12 points; the Champion's League 2018 Nagoya/Kyoto for six points, the Pokémon Japan Championships 2018 for six points, the Champion's League 2019 Tokyo/Niigata for six points, the Champion's League 2019 Certified Tournament for six points, the Champion's League 2019 Certified Tournament for six points, the Champion's League 2019 Kyoto for a minimum of 10 points, the Pokémon Japan Championships 2019 for six points, and the Champion's League 2020 Tokyo for a minimum of 10 points. It features the Champion's League 2018 logo in the bottom right corner of the card. Two more SM-P promos, 170/SM-P and 171/SM-P, were available from special packs given to customers of 7-Eleven stores who bought five booster packs of Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon starting December 8, 2017. 171 is Holofoil while 170 is not, and both have the 7-Eleven logo stamped in the bottom right corner. It was made available as the participation prize for the Pokémon Card Station: Pokémon Card Game Classroom in 2017 and 2019.

Another new design was included in every expansion starting with Team Up and was also included in the Japanese Tag Team GX Premium Trainer Box, Tag Team GX Deck Build Box, and the Extra Regulation Box. It was included as a Secret card in the Japanese Tag All Stars subset.-->
