Glitch (EC) is pseudonym for a Glitch Pokémon in Red and Blue. Its first type is blank while its second type is normal. Due to the fact that real name consists of a singly glitch symbol (which is randomized every time it is viewed) it has no real name (the same is true for Glitchy Charizard). However, unlike Glitchy Charizard, it has no Pokémon image, and is instead referred to by EC, the hex slot it occupies.

Glitch (EC) is not obtainable by using any in-game trick such as the Mew glitch, and can only be caught by using a cheating device by "patching" it from another Pokémon. It shares this trait with ゥU?. If attempted to be battled directly with GameShark, a glitch trainer called Lt. Surge will come up and send out this Pokémon but will almost always freeze the game upon being told "sent out". If the player by luck manages to get Glitch EC sent out into battle by Lt. Surge, it is nicknamed 999999[glitch block] and has a oversized HP bar. After it is sent out, the game freezes and the player can take no action. It is #211 and occupies hex EC (236) becomes ?/ when traded to the Yellow version.

Physiology
If is attempted to be battled directly with a GameShark, a [[Lt. If the player by luck manages to get sent out into battle by Lt. Surge, it is nicknamed 999999 and has an oversized HP bar. After it is sent out, the game freezes and the player can take no action. becomes ?/ when traded to Yellow.
Glitch EC does not look like anything as the games do not provide a sprite for viewing. However, it could be a mysterious glitch that messes up its name and freezes the game when encountered from Lt. Surge. It is also the 3rd lightest Pokémon, behind Gastly and Haunter.

Ability
If encountered in the wild using a GameShark, it will freeze the game and turn the music off until the game is reset. If by luck is successfully sent out by Lt. Surge, then the Pokémon that is sent out will be frozen and be renamed to 9999999999. While the Pokémon is being sent out, the screen will fill up with the character 9 in random locations.
Since Glitch EC has not been present in a game where abilities existed, its official in-game ability is currently unknown. However, if encountered in the wild using a GameShark, it will freeze the game and turn the music off until the game is reset. If Glitch EC by luck is successfully sent out by Lt. Surge, then the Pokémon that is sent out will be frozen be renamed to 9999999999. While the Pokémon is being sent out, the screen will fill up with the character 9 in random locations.

Habitat
After 's Pokédex entry has been viewed, a chaotic glitch song will occur.

Glitch (EC) has no specific habitat because it was never programmed to be in a specific area, nor was it ever programmed for the player to find it. Since it only exists in Generation I, it must exist in the Kanto region. It has no habitat relating to the Mew glitch. Theoretically, it could also exist in some Glitch City-like location.

RBGlitchNameEC.png is a dual type ???/Normal glitch Pokémon that appears in Red and Blue. Its name consists of an illegible tile with index number 137 (0x89). It is only obtainable via the Time Capsule exploit with Umbreon. Its first type is blank while its second type is Normal.

If RBGlitchNameEC.png is attempted to be battled directly with a GameShark, a Lt. Surge will come up and send out this Pokémon, but will always freeze the game upon being told "sent out". If the player by luck manages to get RBGlitchNameEC.png sent out into battle by Lt. Surge, it is nicknamed 999999 and has an oversized HP bar. After it is sent out, the game freezes and the player can take no action. RBGlitchNameEC.png becomes ?/ when traded to Yellow Version.

If encountered in the wild using a GameShark, it will freeze the game and turn the music off until the game is reset. If RBGlitchNameEC.png by luck is successfully sent out by Lt. Surge, then the Pokémon that is sent out will be frozen and be renamed to 9999999999. While the Pokémon is being sent out, the screen will fill up with the character 9 in random locations.

After RBGlitchNameEC.png's Pokédex entry has been viewed, a chaotic glitch song will occur.
