(Japanese: ゲンバ Genba) is a character of the day who appeared in JN051.
Genba met Ash and Goh, whilst they were investigating an outbreak of Geodude at Rock Tunnel. Ash received word that Genba was a challenger in the World Coronation Series and had a battle with Genba using his Gurdurr to battle Ash's Farfetch'd. After a tough match, Gurdurr was eventually defeated when Farfetch'd's Brutal Swing was able to smash through Gurdurr's girder, allowing Farfetch'd to know it out, causing Genba's ranking to go down.
Genba comforted Gurdurr after its girder was broken by giving it his pickaxe. After the battle, Genba watched as Farfetch'd ran off.
