Plot

Gengar told the villagers of the legend of Ninetales, it is said that if anyone touches a tail of a Ninetales will be cursed for one thousand years. One human touched its tail for fun, but while Ninetales attempted to curse the human, his friend Gardevoir was afflicted by the curse instead. Ninetales asked if he wanted to save Gardevoir, but the human abandoned it. After 1,000 years, the reincarnation of that human would be transformed into a Pokémon and destroy the Earth. That human is Ginji.

Hearing that long story, Ginji fell asleep. Gengar woke him up and he said that the story was so long and that nobody would believe in curses. When he looked at the villagers, they trembled in fear. They had believed it. He then remembered a time when he was falsely accused of "breaking wind". Then he realized that the legend might be why he turned into a Pokémon, so he decided that he should find the Ninetales.

Mudkip tried to convince him that it would be dangerous, but Ginji wanted to become a human once again no matter what. Ginji kept walking and Mudkip followed suit. Mudkip almost fell over a ledge, but Ginji helped him back up. Mudkip was exhausted and starting to get heat stroke because of the heat inside the volcano. All of a sudden, a Moltres swooped down. Gengar had tricked Moltres just like he had with villagers, so Moltres was going to try to destroy Ginji. Mudkip tripped and was stuck hanging onto another ledge. Ginji used Flamethrower, but it didn't affect Moltres at all. Then Moltres used a Flamethrower with devastating power. Moltres said that the only way to survive is to flee.

Then Ginji kicked up a cloud of dirt and disappeared. Moltres thought that Ginji had abandoned Mudkip. But then, Ginji jumped out of the dust and used Flamethrower on the ground. The ground began to crack open and lava spewed out. Mudkip used Water Gun on the lava and immediately cooled into large igneous rock pillars. Ginji kicked down a pillar and all the other rocks came crashing down on Moltres. Gengar was amazed that they could defeat Zapdos and Moltres. They continued down the road to find a large, snow covered, forest off in the distance.
