Frustration (Japanese: やつあたり Angry Outburst) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation II.

Effect

Frustration inflicts damage and has no secondary effect. The base power of Frustration is dependant on the user's Happiness. The lower the user's Happiness is, the greater the base power of Frustration. The base power can be calculated using the following formula:

Power = (255 - Happiness) / 2.5

The power of Frustration varies between 0 (maximum Happiness) and 102 (minimum Happiness).

Trivia

  • Buneary is the only Pokémon that can learn Frustration by leveling up.
    • Appropriately, this move's variation, Return can only be learned through leveling up by Buneary's evolution, seeing as Buneary evolves via happiness.
