Forina is a canyonous valley in central Hoenn. It is characterized by scrubs, pillar-like rock formations, and powerful and rare wild Pokémon like Flygon and Absol. The caverns beneath the valley are where the Legendary Pokémon Jirachi hibernates for a millennium between the periods when it is awakened by a comet for seven days. Jirachi is also said to give off the energy it gained slowly over the 100-year period, which means that it was Jirachi who helped to create Forina. It is only seen in the movie Jirachi: Wish Maker. According to promotional posters, it is located immediately west of Mt. Chimney.
