Fontaine (Japanese: イズミの国 Izumi Nation) is a kingdom located in southwestern Ransei, featured in Pokémon Conquest. It represents the Water type, and is led by Motochika. Its adjacent kingdoms are Aurora, Ignis, Greenleaf, and Pugilis.
Battlefield
The waterside battlefield of Fontaine features water tiles, Gate Switches, Flood Gates, and a Fountain. Only Water- and Flying-type Pokémon, as well as Pokémon with the ability Levitate, can stand on water tiles. Gate Switches can be stepped on in order to manipulate Flood Gates, except by Flying/Levitating Pokémon, which control the amount of water tiles present on the battlefield. The Fountain deals Water-type damage to Pokémon adjacent to it.
Battles fought on Fontaine's battlefield are set to a maximum of 20 turns, and victory is seized by defeating all enemies. If both armies are still standing when all 20 turns have passed, the army defending Fontaine wins the battle.
