Flatter (Japanese: おだてる Flatter) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III. It can be seen as a Dark-type version of Swagger, but it is not as potent.
Effect
Flatter raises the target's Special Attack by one stage and then confuses it. Pokémon with the ability Own Tempo are immune to the side effect.
