Flavor text Generation V Powers up special attacks when burned. Generation VI Powers up special attacks when the Pokémon is burned. Generation VII Powers up special attacks when the Pokémon is burned. Generation VIII Powers up special attacks when the Pokémon is burned. Generation IX Powers up special moves when the Pokémon is burned.

Flare Boost (Japanese: ねつぼうそう Burn Rampage) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. It is the signature Ability of Drifloon and Drifblim.

Effect

In battle

While the Pokémon with this Ability is burned, the power of its special moves is increased by 50%.

Outside of battle

Flare Boost has no effect outside of battle.
