Pokémon world locations

Festival Plaza (Japanese: フェスサークル Festival Circle) is a location in Pokémon Sun and Moon that houses communication features such as connecting to the Pokémon Global Link and battling or trading with other players. It has several functions similar to the Entralink and Join Avenue of Generation V, including various shops that attract visitors and missions for the player and guests to complete.

Festival Plaza is reached from the in-game menu. The ability to use it will unlock sometime throughout the game.

Festival Coins

Festival Coins are a currency used at the shops within Festival Plaza. The rank of Festival Plaza is also determined by how many Festival Coins have been collected. Guests will give the player Festival Coins for talking to them and suggesting shops that match their desires.

Various shops can be in Festival Plaza, such as goody shops, bouncy houses, and dye houses. Goody shops sell sets of items. Bouncy houses let one of the player's Pokémon run a course in the house to raise its stats. Dye houses allows the player to dye their clothing.

After raising their Festival Plaza to a certain rank, players will be able to create cooperative missions to complete with visitors. Mission objectives include catching Pokémon and answering specific types of questions asked by guests.

Global missions will be held at certain times, which all players around the world will work together to complete. The first global mission will be held in late November, with the goal of "Catch a lot of Pokémon!"
