Trivia

Origin

Exploud is based on a boombox, otherwise known as "ghettoblaster", a portable music system that can play music at a relatively high volume.

Name origin

Exploud's name may be a combination of explode and loud. Its Japanese name may be a combination of back and 音楽 ongaku, music, referring to the openings on Exploud's back which allow it to create loud bellowings. The Japanese word for explosion, bakuha, might have had some influence on its name as well.
